Baharat is a Lebanese 7 spice blend and is used to flavour coat meat when making stews or for flavouring soups, meat and seafood dishes and rice. This beef dish is fantastic for a cold winter night. It does need 3 hours in the oven, but is quick to prepare.

The 'cheating' part of these little quiche/muffins is using flat "mountain" bread instead of making your own pastry. Alternatively, make a large quiche by overlapping whole sheets of flat bread in a large pie dish.
